Welcome to the Oakland University Writing Center
The Oakland University Writing Center is open to OU students, faculty, and staff in all disciplines at any stage of the writing process. The center provides writers with an interested and supportive audience of well-trained consultants who help both novice and expert writers explore ideas, revise drafts, and develop the skills to craft polished works.

Schedule an Appointment:
- We offer both in person and online appointments. All appointments are synchronous, which means they occur with both parties present in real time.
- In-person appointments are held in the Joan Rosen Writing Studio of the Writing Center located at 212 Kresge Library.
- Online appointments are conducted via our Scheduler. For assistance, please reference this Virtual Appointment Help Guide.
- To make an appointment, login here to check availability. If you don't yet have an account, you will need to create one using your OU email.

Are you a Graduate Student or Faculty Member?
- Please be advised that we are offering a separate schedule for doctoral students and faculty members who are working on high-stakes documents like dissertations, grants, and publications.
